A Stableford bogey competition, held by the Shandon Club on Saturday, resulted:—Seniors: C. E. Hollis (1), 40 points; O. P. Johns (8) and J. B. Melvin (9), each 35 points. Juniors: K. E. Wiggins (12) and D. Robertson (13), each 34 points. Hollis covered the eighteen holes in 68, as follows:—Out, 464335353—36; in, 434433344—32. He is now down to scratch.

In the semi-finals of Mr. Wholey's trophy Hollis beat Hester, 4 and 3, and, Haughton beat Goodson, 1 up. In the semi-finals of Mr. Evans's trophy Lulham beat Burke, 3 and 1, and Paton beat Young, 2 up. The results of the first round of the Summer Cup are as follows:—Elliott beat Fossey; Johns beat Hayward; Edgar beat Hipkins; Digby beat Curran; Berry beat Carroll; Melvin beat Burke; Haughton beat Mullins; Paton beat Lockett; Park beat Low; Dillicar beat Kodger; Robertson beat Andrews; Wild beat Philpot; McCarroll beat McKenzie; Warden beat Garlick; Jenkins beat Crow; Young beat Wilmshurst; Welsh beat Evans; Hollis beat Gill; MeCormick beat Comerford; Taylor beat Hartman; Desmond beat Davies; Griffin beat Stuckey; Boyd beat Lulham; O'Brien beat Davidge. A medal round held over the weekend resulted: —Seniors: D. M. Wilson, 75, 10—65; C. E. -Hollis, 73, 0—73. Juniors: E. C. Griffin, 87, 21—66; K. E. Wiggins, 84. 16—68. A fourball best-ball bogey round was won by T. P. McCarthy (8) and G. Denis (15).
