BRISBANE, November 24.

R. O. Cummings, the former Queensland tennis champion, who recently turned professional, triumphed over the visiting former French champion Henri Cochet, Cummings winning 7-5, 3-6 8-6, 7-5.

Cochet at times revealed glimpses of his true brilliance, but on the whole was not particularly impressive.

In a doubles match" Cochet and L. Baker defeated Cameron and Cummings, 4-6. 6-1, 6-3.
