The medal round on the Shandon links on Saturday was won by G. Y. Berry, with 75, 8—67. Next came Spencer Digby, 81, 11—70, and O. F. Johns, 83, 10—73.
L. Young did best in the junior section with 87, 22—65. The next best performers were J. J. Evans, 92; 22 —70, and P. Garlick, 94, 22—72. In a bogey competition yesterday C. E. Hollis (2) won with a card showing all square. D. Robertson (13) won the junior event, with 4 down.
A fourball competition was won by W. R. Tustin and D. Robertson (13), with 6 up.
In the first round of the Wholey trophy competition Hester beat Isaacs, 8 and 7; Hollis beat Christensen, 3 and 2; Haughtqn beat Wild, 1 up; Goodson beat Ogilvie, 2 and 1.
In the first round of the Evans trophy competition Lulham beat Letford at the" twenty-first; Burke beat Gill 2 and 1; Paton beat McKelvie, at the twentieth; Young beat Crow by default.
