TRACKS FOR CYCLISTS

BRITISH ROAD SCHEMES

• (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 21. A policy of providing tracks for pedal cyclists separated from the main carriageway is followed in two schemes for road improvement just authorised by the Minister of Transport and estimated to cost over £38,000. The needs of a large number of cyclists who use the road from Preston to Lancashire coast will be met by one scheme, while in the second case the plans for a new by-pass road in Nottinghamshire include the provision of dual carriageways.
