EVENING MEETINGS

The Wellington Centre was unlucky in the weather experienced on Monday, the unfavourable conditions leading to the postponement of the first twilight meeting. On Monday evening the Lower Hutt Club is to hold a meeting on the Hutt Recreation Ground, commencing at 6.30. A comprehensive programme has been arranged, there being thirteen events, including two cycle races, a relay for the Oates Baton, two women's races, two open sprints, a junior 100 yards, half-mile and mile, 220 yards low hurdles, and long jump and javelin throw. The proceeds of this meeting are to be devoted to the Children's Health Camp Fund. A bus is to leave Bunny Strppt at 5.40 p.m.
