SUCCESSFUL FAIR

ANTIQUE EXHIBITION

The Women's Association of St. Andrew's Church held a very successful fair and antique exhibit on Thursday, when over £50 was raised for the debt extinction fund.

The fair was opened at 2.30 p.m. by Mrs. David Smith, who spoke on the aims and efforts of the association. Miss Myra Sawyer sang two songs, accompanied by Mrs. R. G. Caigou. Brisk business was done at all stalls md in the tearoom. The fair was continued in the veiling, when an excellent programme was provided by the following:—Mrs. Wilfred Andrews (songs). Miss Ngnirc Thomson 1 recitation), Messrs. Cachcmaille, Webb, Pringle, and Whitchorn (male quartette), and Mrs. It: G. Caigou (accompanist).

The- Rev. Brian Kilroy thanked all those who had participated in making the fair such a great success.

The thanks of the association were nlso extended to all those who lent antiques and gave so liberally to the different stalls, and to Messrs. McKcnna and Con;>any for the loan of the very large assortment of valuable antiques, and also the Scoullar Company for the loan of furniture and furnishings.
