It is officially announced that Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister, Secretary for Air, and Sir Bolton Eyres-Monsell, First Lord of the Admiralty, have been raised to the Peerage as viscounts^

No by-elections are necessary, as both had retired from the House of Commons and did not seek xeturn at the General Election. For the present they will retain their positions in the Cabinet.-
