The first of five "Marshals of the Soviet Union," created in accordance with a new decree establishing a supreme rank hitherto unknown in the Russian army .include Voroshiloff, Defence Commissar; ,Egoroff, Chief of the Soviet General Staff; and Blucher, commander of the Soviets of the Far East Army.
