SPEEDWAY TEAM

TO ARRIVE NEXT MONTH According to cabled advice received in Wellington by Mr. G. S. Bright, the learn of English speedway riders consisting of L. Van .Praag, the Wembley captain, W. Clibbert (West Ham), S. Greatrex (Belle Vue, Manchester) and R. Harrison (New Cross), which is en route to New Zealand, arrived at mantle yesterday. The team is to leave Sydney on December 6. and is due to arrive in Wellington on December 9. E. Langton, captain of the English team in the five Test matches which were held against Australia this year, who is to join the visitors in New Zealand, left San Francisco yesterday, and is expected in Wellington on December 8. The season is to open locally on December 14, when two of the English riders, yet to be selected, will appear.
