DEATH OF HOLMES

MURDER TRIAL IN SYDNEY

SYDNEY, November 19. The trial of John Patrick Strong and Albert Stannard on charges of murdering Reginald Holmes was continued today. Oliver Summers gave evidence concerning the hearing of shots on the night Holmes was murdered. He stated that after hearing shots he saw a man in the vicinity whom he had identified as Stannard.

The jury retired to inspect the places mentioned in evidence, and the hearing was adiourned until tomorrow.
