CONTROL OF WHIPPET
RACING
The control of whippet racing within the borough of Lower Hutt has been giving some concern to members of the Lower Hutt Borough Council and last evening the council had before it for approval a bylaw drafted by the bylaws committee which gives the council control of the meetings by providing that no meeting can be held unless the date and programme have first been approved by the council. One of the great concerns of the councillors was that meetings were being held on Sundays.
