TRADE AGREEMENTS
Discussing reciprocal agreements at Eastbourne last night, Mr. W. Nash said Great Britain already had seventeen reciprocal agreements with other countries. When Britain agreed to take New Zealand produce, New Zealand would agree to take an equal value in goods manufactured in England. The Labour Party had been criticised for advocating guaranteed prices and reciprocal agreements, but the Government had a meat agreement with Britain, and if the Government could arrange for the sale of meat surely the Labour Party could do the same.
