FAREWELL RECITAL

A most enjoyable recital was given" recently at the Repertory Theatre by the pupils of Miss Natalie Pollock'to a large and appreciative audience. A variety of dancing and elocutionary items made up a most entertaining programe, the baby classes being especially popular. '• ! : A very dashing number was the tap dancing ballet in which Miss Pollock performed the! "rumba" solo. Her frilled frock was of old ' gold with violet lining, and she wore a' wreath of marigolds in her hair., The ballet • wore striking costumes of black! and scarlet and long scarlet gloves. < v.' At the conclusion of the performance Miss Pollock, who intends leaving Wellington on November 29 to join a dramatic school in Sydney, was the recipient of many charming presents from her pupils and their parents. Those taking part in the programme were Miss Freda Freeman (who sang a ' charming solo) and Sheila and Sbnia Tonge, June Dunnett, Doreen Somerville, Jean Bray, Bernice McKeish, June Parks, Pam and Arthur Holloway, Bruce Porter, Bernie and Adrian Knapp, Brya Manton, Sherry Mclntosh, Jill Lissingham, Valarie. Eggers, Susanne Everett, Joari Morton, Jill Foden, Ann Greydon, Mark Catell; Judith King, Marie Nixon, Nola Becker, Gloria and Denise Gbtlieb, Wilfred Cole, Margaret and Dorothy Watkins, Pat Lissingham, Donalda Woodward, Cecilie Goufle, Diana King, Valda De Comp, Margaret McGreevy, Evelyn Bradnock, Kathleen Tullett, and Mr. Max Green. Miss Dorothy Spinks- was the pianist.
