WADESTOWN CARNIVAL

A largely-attended garden party was held oh Saturday at the residence. lof Mr. John Craig, Wadestown, in aid of the school queen candidate, Dulcie Stafford. Mr. M. Russell- officially, opened the function and during thei afternoon .music played by the Wellington Junior Band was greatly enjoyed.: The children from the infant classes danced on the lawn. Stalls, competitions,, and side-shows were well supported. The baby show was a great attraction, the judges,' Miss Sexton and Mrs. Me Vicar, awarding the prizes as follows:-^Six ; months*, old babies, Shirley Ann Roberts, Louie* Weir,- and Graham Taylor; twelve months' old babies, Dawn Woodfield and Keith Brown; eighteen months', old babies, Patsy Law and Donald Torranee; two-year-olds and over, Margaret Reriaud, Brian Collett; arid Alex. Turner. '
