PIONEER CLUB

The last monthly meeting for the year of the Pioneer Club Women's Institute Circle was attended by a large number of visitors and members. Mrs. W. J. Ross presided.

A play, "The Pacifist," was very well staged and acted by members from Stokes Valley Women's Institute, the parts being taken by Mesdames Anr.ear. Bathursl, Henry, Kay, Lockwood, McNichol, Mclntyre, and Melrose. Mrs. Hopkirk (Silverstream Women's Institute) gave a demonstration of the art o£ basket weaving, which was followed with keen interest Thanks were extended to these ladies.

Miss Kane, on behalf of the Dominion executive, wished the members the season's greetings. Afternoon tea was served and the meeting closed with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
