CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, November 9. under showery weather conditions, the forty-fourth annual summer show of the Waikato Agricultural and PastoraZ Association concluded today. Record entries were received. The following are the principal championship awards:— Dominion jumping contest: Mrs. T L. Ranstead, C. C. Merin, H. Scales, J. Townsend. Tamworth boar: A. T. Rogers. Hunter: A. S. Buckland. Entire: J. W. Bourke. Draught mare: W. C. Mears. Pen of fat lambs: Crabbe Bros., Matamatay Jersey cow: A. Moreland and Sons. . .Jersey bull: P. Phillips. Shorthorn cow and bull: R. D. Duxfield. Friesian cow and bull: Piri Land Company. Ayrshire bull: C. Bailey. By winning most points in the Southdown sheep section, C. G. and F. G. Aickin. North Auckland, won the McNicol Memorial Trophy. The gate takings totalled £449, an increase of £100 on last year.
