Stephenson, and Co., Ltd report:—We held our usual sale at Carterton on Friday, when we offered a fair yarding to a good attendance, .bat cows maintained good prices and forward cows also sold well. Store cows sold at last week's rates whiS springing cows and heifers met with good competition. Sheep sold at late rates and pigs were better. A total clearance was effected as under— Sheep.—Fat b.f. wethers, to 25s 6dfat wethers, to 26s 4d; fat maiden bf' ewes, to 255; fat ewes, 15s 6d to lbs 6d.
