LILIUM REGALE

AN EXCELLENT GARDEN

SUBJECT

This is one of the best of the newer lilies, being an excellent garden plant and much hardier than the majority of lilies. The bulbs may be increased readily from seed, the young plants flowering in two years from the time of sowing. Plant in a fairly sheltered position, taking care that it is not under the drip from trees. It thrives and (lowers magnificently in cool loam and leaf mould in partial shade, and is quite easy to manage. The bulbs should be left undisturbed until overcrowded, and a mulch of clean fresh soil and rotted manure placed over the bed each autumn, after flowering is over.
