SPANISH WRESTLER'S DEBUT.

A comparatively recent addition to the ranks of the wrestlers operating under the control of the Dominion of New Zealand Union, Tony Catalina, will make his first appearance in Wellington on Monday night, when he will meet Ole Andresen in an eight-round bout at the Town Hall. Catalina, whose father was of Spanish descent, was born in America 35 years ago. He is a particularly handsome physical specirryn and his performances in the ring in other parts of the Dominion have made him exceedingly popular with the wrestling public. He commenced wrestling while serving in the American Navy towards the end of the Great War. After peace had been signed he left the. service and became a professional wrestler. immediately making great progress in the sport. He proved his duality so well that he was given title bouts with Browning and Londos. and he has also bepn matched with men like Henri de Glane and "Strangler" Lewis. There are few more popular wrestlers in Wellington than Ole Andresen. whose speed and ski]] particularly with his "indiarubber" legs, have made him one of the real successes of the season. Particulars are advertised.
