AERODYNAMIC RESEARCH

The final meeting of the session was held last night by the Technological Section of the Wellington Philosophical Society. Mr. A. Tyndall was re-elected chairman, and Mr. Jl F. Qabites was elected secretary of the-section. . ~

The paper read was one by Mr. C. J. Kidson, who dealt exhaustively with the use. of v models in aerodynamic investigation. Special reference was made to Rongotai and : to the complex air currents to be encountered in that vicinity, and it was demonstrated how the removal of part of Moa Point decreased the turbulence. Slides and diagrams illustrated the lecture, which was very well attended. :
