STOCK EXCHANGES

NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED

The annual general meeting of the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand was held at Wellington yesterday,* the retiring president, Mr. E. Bucholz, being chairman. There were present Messrs. G. C. Creagh and .T. W. Frater, representing the Auckland Stock Exchange; Messrs. H. Kitson and J. H. A. Moore the Christchurch Stock Exchange; Mr. Harman Reeves, Dunedin Stock Exchange; Messrs. E. Bucholz and T. R. Lawson, Wellington Stock Exchange; Mr. Duncan McAllum, Taranaki Stock Exchange; and Mr. A. W. Jones, Invercargill Stock Exchange. The annual report and statement of accounts were adopted. Mr. H. Kitson, chairman of the Christchurch Stock Exchange, was elected president, and Mr. Harman Reeves, chairman of the Dunedin Stock Exchange, vice-president. Eulogistic reference was made to the good work accomplished during the last two difficult years by the retiring president, Mr. E. Bucholz.

Alterations-to the rules of the association were made and other business was dealt with.
