MANUFACTURERS' ASSOCIATION
Before proceeding with the business on the agenda at last night's meeting of the general committee of the Wellington Manufacturers' Association, the president, Mr. Lan Matheson, extended, a welcome to the new members on the committee, Messrs. G. S. Amos, C. G. Franklyn, H. Higgins, W. McHardy Foreman, J. W. Penman, A. Todd and H. W. Tolan. Mr. Matheson said he felt confident that with the increase in membership of the association, and the new blood on the committee, the association could look forward to a year of vigorous and useful activity. Several of the new . members, in thanking.Mr. Matheson for the very cordial welcome extended to them, expressed pleasure at haying been elected to the general committee of an organisation which they recognised as vital to the interests of the manufacturing industry, and which is doing most useful work in educating the public to the absolute necessity, from the point of view of national prosperity of supporting New Zealand's manufacturing industry by purchasing whenever possible goods made in the
