[Published by Arrangement.] TWO NEW MOTOR COMPANIES

DEVELOPMENTS IN PALMERSTOxV NORTH

The recent development of two entirely new companies evolving from the original organisation of Fowlsr and Porter Limited in Palmerston North is noteworthy. It has meant the completion of the spacious modern garage and service station in Kangitikei Street now occupied by Messrs. Porter Motors, Ltd., and a considerable increase in the employment of local personnel. The very favourable uptake in the industry over the past 18 months, and the generally bright outlook for the future, have been entirely responsible for the new company development. The principals of both organisations have enjoyed a long experience in the motor trade in Hawke's Bay, and as partners have represented General Motors trademarks in the Manawatu district for over four years. ' The new company of Messrs. Fowler Motors Limited is retaining its connection with the premises in Rangitikei Street recently occupied by Messrs. Fowler and Porter, Limited, and is the General Motors dealer for Vauxhall, Bedford, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac. Messrs. Porter Motors, Limited, whose new premises are at the corner of Rangitikei and Make Streets, is the authorised General Motors dealer for Buick and for Chevrolet cars and I trucks.
