The attendance at the Aotea Club is still j holding out very well, over thirty members | competing last Wednesday. . Miss G. Smitli scored a possible, the nrst this season by a lady member in club competition. Miss Till scored one on the Railway range.in an inter-club match in the early part of the season. Possibles were also scored by T. Goodall. -T. Stephens, and \V. G. Scambary, and 09"s by J. Cowman. R. H. Hunt, and G. Scambary. In view of the splendid support by members the club will continue its. activities during part of November. The final Holcroft Shield shoot for the sc-son was fired by the Brooklyn Club on Wednesday. There was quite a. satisfactory attendance considering that the season is almost finished, approximately 40 members being present. The. shield was won by Mr. Abbott's team with " R. V~ Abbott (captain) 49, A. Wcstwnod 50, It. Hendricksen nO, E. Annabell 4i. J. McConchie 46 ; total, 2-12. E. Bunting (captain). 50, P. Chandler uO, K. Harrison 30, Mrs. Annabell 45, Mrs. Lawton 43; total, 238. C. J. Hoffeins (captain) -IS, Miss Cockroft 49. B. Keys 46, 3. Waterhoiisc 46, G. Cudby 44*; total, 233. G. Boddy (captain) 49, E. Burtmsh 4S, V Whltelaw' 4G, D. Trotter 45, H. Lawtou 42; total 230. T. Lawton (captain) 4S, G. Jensen 4S, Mrs. Tucker 3S, Mrs. Harrington 32, H. Dore 50; total, 216. A special shoot was incorporated in the Holcroft Shield shoot, possible 50.5, an extra .1 being Riven for salros. A. Westwood, E. Bunting, and G. Boddy tied with the possible, getting fire bulls, nnd nominating .5 as a handicap. A. Westwood won the shooton" S. Cudby Is to be congratulated on obtaining a 10-slKit possible, Ills tlrst this season. Ho has been shooting well lately and certainly deserves it. The special Christmas shout commenced this week and members :ire specially requested to try and compete. The Wellington Small Bore Itiflo Club holrts its annual meeting tills evening at the Harbour Board range. King's Wharf. Those interested are asked to attend. The Petone Central Club recently entertained the Mayor and councillors and staff to a friendly shont. Teams were chosen by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, and the match resulted in a win for the Mayor's team by a small margin. Prizes were presented for the highest scores. The Oakley Memorial Cup resulted in a win "for 11. Wnodhfead, and the •final of the Tisdall Cup resulted in a tie between J. Kevin..- and J. f:ol<|iilioiiii. J. Devlne was successful In the shoot-off. The I'ctone Ladles' Club r,n Tuesday entertained members of the Onslow Club. A very interesting maX-li was fired between learns chosen by the captains, the Onslow captain's team winning with a total score of 1015 against 1006. Trophies were presented to Mr. Ileedman, Mr. Bradshaw, Miss Butte, and Mrs. Gallic, and the consolalion went to Mr;' Conner. Congratulations were extended to Mrs. .Tohnstone, .Mrs. Braid, and Miss. E. Gregory on scoring 69; Miss Gregory was presented with a trophy from the f)nslow Club. The sealed competition which covered two nighjs' scores of the I'ctone Ladies' Club resulted as follows:—Grade A-l: Competitor scoring most nines (Mrs. Jones's trophy). Miss Scales. Grade A-2: Member with total scorn of 12-1 .(anonymous trophy), Mrs. Marsdcn. Grade n: Hichcst >;un scare (Mr. Singer's trophy). Miss Bradley.
