MOTORISTS PROTEST

EGLINTON VALLEY ROAD

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day.

The North Island Motor Union resolved to lodge an emphatic protest against the declaration of the Eglinton Valley road as a main highway, as being an invasion of the principles of the Highways Act.

Advice was received from the Transport. Department that it is intended to review motor registration and licence forms with a view to their simplification before the next licensing period.
