W. KURU CHAMPION
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) • PALMERSTON N., This Day.. The Manawatu golf tournament, probably the wettest on record, was concluded, yesterday, the, final after a fair morning being played in continuous rain. The open championship was won by W. T. Kuru : (Waipukurau), who beat K. S. Glendinning (Manaw.atu), the eimihated = semi-finalists' being J. Hape (Dannevirke) and O; H. Williams (Manawatu). In -the subsidiary match play competitions the winners were Dr. Hamilton Gibbs (Nelson), G. P. Roberts "(Hutt), and* A. Walden V ' .
