DEMOCRATS AND LABOUR

(By Telegraph— Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 29. That the Democrat Party would support the Labour Party in a no-confi-dence motion to defeat the present Government was stressed by Mr. H. B.i Arthur, Democrat candidate, when he opened his campaign in the Grey Lynn electorate. Mr. Arthur said that if it was the privilege of the Democrat Party to voice a no-confidence motion it would expect1 the support of the Labour Party, and in the event of Labour getting into power the party would have the support of the Democrats providing the policy adopted was not too far remote from that of the Democrats. " I Reform of the currency system was strongly advocated by Mr. F. C. Jordan, Liberal candidate for Parnell, in ' opening his campaign. Mr. 'Jordan advocated transferring the control of the system from the banks to the people and the creation of a national credit authority to estimate the value of production and of the purchasing power issued to the people
