SIX MONTHS' SENTENCE

[ (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Albert William Burton (38), salesman, who left a trail of valueless cheques in North Island towns, was today sentenced on thirty-five charges of false pretences.. The Magistrate, Mr. Hunt, said that Burton was not long out of prison when he embarked on an excursion of crime. He imposed six months' imprisonment, to be followed by twelve months' j reformative detention.
