SAVED BY A DITCH

PALMERSTON N., This Day. , When the car he was driving left the road, struck a power pole, and then turned upside down over a ditch, Mr. Viles, of Apiti, had a narrow escape 'from death on.the Kimbolton' Road, Feilding, yesterday afternoon. But for the presence of the ditch it is almost certain he would have been crushed beneath the car. Mr. Viles is at present in hospital with several minor injuries and abrasions.
