MOTHERS' CLUBS' PARTY
A happy afternoon was spent yesterday when the members of the Mothers' Clubs of the Free Kindergartens combined in holding a social party' at the Berhampore branch of the association. ■ Music, games, and competitions passed the time delightfully. Mrs. J. A. Doctor (president of the! association) was the guest of honour, and was presented by Mrs. A. Smith (president of the ■ United Mothers' Clubs) with a dainty posy of spring flowers. ' Miss Enid Wilson (principal of the Wellington Free Kindergartens) welcomed Mrs. Doctor, and said that the meeting was the first of the kind, and it was hoped to have others later on. Mrs. Doctor expressed her pleasure in meeting so many fellowworkers, and said she was happy in knowing that there was such a great interest taken in the association. She spoke also of the value of kindergarten work in all its branches, and of the happiness it brought *to the children. Mrs. Smith emphasised the pleasantness of such meetings, which enabled the mothers to see something of each other and of the work of other kindergartens.
Weather and all being favourable.,, the party was a thorough success. •
