EXCHANGE OF SIRES
RABBI AND CRICKET BAT
The Paladin stallion Rabbi, sire of last Saturday's Epsom winner Synagogue, has been acquired by Sir Charles Clifford on lease from Mr. J. J. Corry for the Stonyhurst Stud, and he will be used there this season along with Magnus and Winning Hit. ' Sir Charles undoubtedly has the idea of some interesting experiments with Rabbi, for Rabbi's two best offspring to date, Synagogue and Arctic King, were bred from mares tracirigto Stony-' hurst families; and Rabbi himself also descends from a Stonyhurst taproot, the same actually as Arctic King, whose intense inbreeding has been previously noted. Sir Charles will now give Rabbi further chances with the families with which he has already been so successful.
Mr. Corry in turn has leased Cricket Bat for this season in exchange from Sir Charles Clifford, and he will use the Winning Hit'; horse for his own triares. Cricket Bat represents a combination of some of the best lines of blood from the Stonyhursf Stud, tvhere he was bred.
