In 1924 the associations affiliated to the i New Zealand Association were Otago (39), Wellington (21), Canterbury (18), and Auckland (—). The following table shows the growth since then: —

In 1934, Wellington won , the New Zealand Cup, with Canterbury taking the Annie Brown Cup. Poverty Bay annexed the President's Shield, and Marlborough the Hayhurst Cup;
