CRUISE TO THE BALTIC
SCHOOLBOYS AND TEACHERS
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIMENT

On Monday 836 boys from primary
and central schools in England, ac-
companied by 280 teachers, will leave
on a 12-day cruise of the Baltic, or- j I ganised by the School Journeys Asso- j ciation.' . This is the first cruise arranged for | elementary school boys, and is in the ' nature of an educational experiment with the object of putting the stimulus of interest and imagination behind the book knowledge of, geography and of promoting understanding of foreign peoples. The boys will spend three days in and around Oslo, and the party will broadcast songs from the Oslo radio station.
The majority of the boys' are from London, but a number come from northern areas. . ■
