MOVE FOR REDUCTION

SYDNEY, August 12.

After consulting his colleagues, the Federal Prime Minister (Mr. J. A. Lyons) stated that Parliament will meet on September 24.

The "Sun" says that Mr. Lyons will propose to Cabinet that -Australia shall make direct representations to the United States for a reduction of barriers against Australian products.

Mr. Lyons said this afternoon: "There is at the moment a particularly friendly attitude' towards Australia in the United States."
