OVERSEAS GARDENS

The monthly meeting of the Onslow Horticultural arid Beautifying Society was held in the Khandallah Bowling Club's pavilion last evening. Mr. L. Okeby presided.

Mr. J. G. C. MacKenzie gave an address on gardens he had visited overseas. He also gave a talk and demonstration on pruning shrubs and trees. After the lecture a number of pictures of gardens visited in the Old Country were passed around. Questions were invited and a very lively interest was shown by those present. "

On the motion of Mr. J. Bennett a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. MacKenzie.
