LEAVING FOR CANADA

PARTY AT NURSES' CLUB

On the eve of Miss Pattrick's departure for Montreal a most delightful i farewell party was given in her honour at the Nurses' Club by the president and council of the New Zealand Registered Nurses' Association, and the Nurses' Christian Union. On her arrival Miss Patlrick was welcomed, and presented with a posy, by Miss Bicknell, Dominion president. Mrs. Tythe-Brown, president, voiced the greeting and good wishes of the Nurses' Christian Union. The Director of Nursing, Miss Lambie, in congratulating Miss Pattrick, stated that she had a world-wide reputation for infant welfare nursing. Miss Pattrick thanked her fellownurses for their good wishes and goodwill. She said she naturally had some regrets at leaving New Zealand, but after a holiday wpud be glad to be back at the work she loved. Among those present were Miss M. Bagley (Auckland), Miss McKenny (Manawatu), Miss Cookson, Miss Arnold, Miss Milne, Miss Mcßae, Miss Chalmers, Miss C. Clark, Miss Julius, Miss Hooper, Miss Ingles, Mrs. Pattrack, Mrs. Tattersal, Miss Tomlinson, Miss Clifford, Miss O'Sullivan,. Miss B. Lewis, Miss Mackersay, Miss Orr, and Miss Davies (Melbourne), Miss Galespie, Miss Mcßride, Miss Elliott, Mrs. Sells, and Miss Sampsen. A very friendly, pleasant evening was spent. Mrs. Rolland O'Regan sang beautifully and Miss Garden's piano solos were much appreciated. Supper and talk, and the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" concluded the party.
