HOLMES PROBABLY CAPTAIN
TEAM ALMOST COMPLETE
United Press Association—By. Electric TeleBraph—Copyright. (Received July 9, 11.30' a.m.) LONDON, July 8. The M.C.C. announces that E. R. T. Holmes (Surrey) has been invited to captain the team which is to tour New Zealand during the 1935-36 summer. R. E. S. Wyatt (Warwickshire) refused the invitation extended to him as he is in need oZ rest. The following have accepted invitations to go on the tour: — N. S. Mitchell-Innes (Oxford University). J. H. Human (Middlesex). A. G. Powell (Essex). A. D. Baxter (M.C.C.). H. D. Read (Essex). . C. J. Lyttelton (Worcestershire). James Langridge (Sussex). D. Smith (Derbyshire). J. Simm (Middlesex). J. Hardstaff (Nottinghamshire). Two additional players will be chosen and the team will include at least eight amateurs. James Parks (Sussex) has also been invited to go.
