GRANT OF £10,000 A YEAR

Addressing a conference of dairy company delegates at Palmerston North on Saturday, Mr. C. P. Agar, deputy chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board, stated that to a certain degree farm dairy instruction had been examined a3 a result of a demand for such instruction that the industry had made. The board was prepared to place £10,000 aside as its share of the cost if the Government would cooperate in a national scheme. The board had taken herd testing under its wing so that the work could be tackled in a more, concrete form.

The board had placed a substantial sum of money on its budget to develop fuller research work, which was regarded as essential.
