HOCKEY DANCE

LOWER HUTT, This Day.
A .happy time was spent by members and friends of the Hutt Valley Hockey Association on Saturday night when the club held its annual dance. The hall had been tastefully decorated with the club colours, pretty red shades covering the lights. An excellent orchestra provided the music, and Mr. Hartley carried out the duties of M.C.
The club had the honour of the presence of Mr. C. Bollard (president of the Wellington Hockey Association), Mr. K. Falconer (secretary), Mr. E. G. McLeod (captain of the New Zealand Test team), and Mrs. McLeod (who wore blue crinkle crepe.
Among those present were Misses B. Beazley (who wore green georgette), L. Morrison (pink matalasse), M. Slater (blue lace), L. McHolm (black velvet), E. Kennington (coffee lace), N. Blair (black velvet), J. Gillies (lemon net), J. Butcher (blue taffeta), J. Benton (blue silk), E. Lambert (black net), N. Cannons (crinkled organdie), N. King (floral muslin), A. Daly (pink, georgette), E. Burgess (pink crepe), J. Dees (blue crepe), N. Shearer (figured muslin), O. Bowie (black marocain); and Messrs. H. Bishop-. G. Hamilton, C. McDiamid, J. McHolm, E.
