MR. TREADWELL TO STAND

The National Political Federation announces that Mr. C. A. L. Treadwell' has been adopted as the party's candidate for the Wellington North seat at the General Election. Candidates for other city and suburban se°ats are under consideration. Mr. Treadwell is a barrister and solicitor and he has taken a prominent part in the public life of Wellington. He is a member of the Wellington Hospital Board, a member of the executive of the Mayor's Metropolitan Relief Committee, the Associated Chambers of Commerce, the Wellington War Memorial Committee, and the ■ Returned Soldiers' Association executive. Mr. Treadwell has been cldsely identified with x the activities of the Reform Party, and is a member of the national executive and the Wellington executive. During the war he was mentioned in dispatches.
