The additional assistance which the Unemployment Board approved for relief workers as a special King's Jubilee grant cannot be increased. Recently the Christchurch Unemployment Committee suggested that the grant should be more substantial than what was decided on by the board, and made a request of that nature to the board through the Mayor, Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P. Mr. Sullivan- has received a-reply from the Minister for Employment, the Hon. S. G.
