AMENDMENTS TO ACT
OFFICIAL CONSIDERATION

AUCKLAND, This Day.
The possibility of amendments to the legislation controlling Children's Courts being introduced in the near future was mentioned today by the Minister of Justice, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe. He said that this legislation had lately been receiving his attention, and it was possible that a conference would be called of those directly concerned in the administration' of the Child Welfare Act. The Department had procured from the Home Office the latest literature relating to legislation, and officers were now considering whether our legislation couid be suitably brought into line with the English. .
