SIR FRANCIS FRAZER, K.B.

Sir Francis Frazcr, X.8., till within a few weeks ago was Judge of the Court of Arbitration, a position he relinquished upon his appointment as deputy chairman of the Executive Commission of Agriculture. He was born in Dunedin in 1880, and was educated at Nelson College, and Ofago and Canterbury University Colleges, taking the degrees of M.A. and LL.B. He was admitted as Ok barrister and solicitor in 1906, and practised at Christchurch and Milton. He was appointed to the Magistracy in 1911, and held the' position of chairman of the Public Service Appeal Board and the Post and Telegraph Appeal Board. He was Assistant Public Service Commissioner in 1920, and in 1921 was appointed Judge of the Court of Arbitration. In 1928 he was Acting Judge of the Supreme Court. Sir Francis was chairman of the Royal Commission which investigated the dairy industry last year.
