UNREGISTERED PRESS
For keeping an unregistered printing press, Hutcheson, Bowman, and Johnson, Ltd., were fined the. minimum penalty of £5 by Mr. E. D.'Mosley, S.M.,' in the Magistrate's Court today. A plea of guilty was entered.
Detective-Sergeant T. Y. Hall said. that the case had been adjourned from last December while similar ' cases were under consideration. Judgment had since been given against the defendants in those cases. Detective I\ N. Robinson, in the course of inquiries into the keeping of printing presses, had found that the present de&ndants had failed to register a press. • The" press had baen registered .originally, but the firm had changed its name. It was now properly registered.
Mr. M. F. Grogan explained that the partners had originally registered the press, and were not aware thafe they had to register it again when their partnership was changed into a company.
