JUBILEE BALL

Wedding Notices will be found on page 6 of this issue.

a NAVAL AND MILITARY

Considerable public interest is al- j ready being evinced in the forthcoming Jubilee Ball to be held in the Town j Hall on May 9. Organised by the officers of the Navy, Army, Air Force, and Legion of Frontiersmen, the ball will be one of the most colourful and interesting held in Wellington for many years. The scarlet uniforms of the officers are always a striking feature of military functions, and the coming event will provide the greatest assemblage of uniforms that has ever appeared in the city. In view of the fact that their Excellencies the Governor-General and Viscountess Galway will be present, no effort is being spared to make the function one worthy of the occasion celebrated. In order to avoid overcrowding the issue of tickets is being strictly limited, and invitation-holders are advised to make early application to the D.I.C. or the secretary.
