MRS. McCOMBS, M.P.

STRAIN OF LONG HOURS

Reference to the fact that owing to ill health Mrs. E. R. McCombs, M.P., had found it necessary to return to her home during the last session of Parliament, was made today by Mr. M. J. Savage, M.P., Leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party, in the report he presented to the Labour Conference.

"There appears to be no doubt," said Mr. Savage, "that her illness to a large extent resulted from the long hours and heavy strain involved in the execution of her Parliamentary duties. We join in wishing Mrs. McCombs a very speedy recovery, and in assuring her of a hearty 'welcome home,' not only from her colleagues, but from all members of Parliament, when she again takes her seat in the House."
