SHANDON CLUB
The Shandon Club's Easter tournament opened on Saturday "with splendid entries, including visitors from clubs in both.' the North and South Islands. The course was in excellent order and this, combined with almost summer conditions, resulted in some excellent scores and also not a few surprises. The final between C. E. Hollis (Shandon), who has shown consistent improvement for. some time past, and the Scotsman, A. Clelland, will be played today. The qualifying round fov the championship and Consolation Handicap was played in' the morning, and resulted in W. R. Tustin leading the field with 73 gross. The handicap medal round was won by J. Kershaw, 79, 18—61. Next came G. ST. Leeder, 82. 19—63; S. L. Rodger. S2, 15—.64. The afternoon bogey resulted:— '"S." C. Orchard (11), 3 up; E. Kretschinar la), J. Lonisson.(ll), G. Berry (8), 1 up. , THE CHAMPIONSHIP. In the first round of the Shandon championship, W. E. Tustin beat C. L. Dentice, 5 and 4; E. J. Kretschmar beat R. Lulliam, 1 up; A. Clelland beat J.
