AUTUMN SHOW

BLOOMS AT MIRAMAR

There was a large number of entries in nil sections at the Miramar Horticultural Society's Autumn Show, which was held at the Miramar South School on Saturday. Autumn blooms of all shades and varieties and a good entry of cage birds combined to make the display a brilliant one. The show was opened by Mr. G. S. Nicoll, secretary of the Wellington Horticultural Society, who congratulated the exhibitors on the excellence of their exhibits and referred to the "Miss Rose Joseph" trophy of the Wellington society for suburban growers only. Mr. Nicoll explained that no special entry was required for this trophy as it will be awarded for one year to the suburban society whose members, excluding children, win the most points.
