THRIFT IN THE SCHOOLS
Commenting on the school savings branch of the Post Office Savings Bank, the headmaster of a large primary school in the Hutt Valley said that it was working most satisfactorily in. his school, this being shown by the' fact that during the • five weeks the scheme had been in operation the amount paid in by the children, was over £40.! The scheme involved practically no interference with the ordinary school work. There had been no withdrawals, the children stating they were withholding tl^se until Christmas. < -..'..
