LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MOVE IN WELLINGTON
No League football was played in Wellington last year, but enthusiasts for the game are not allowing another season to pass without a show of activity. Steps_are being taken to bring about a revival, sfnd. in these a leading figure is Mr. V. Simpson, who has been prominently associated with *he control of the game at New Zealand headquarters (in Auckland); and who is now residing in Wellington.. A new local control is to be set up, and PY, way of preliminaries there are to be meetings for the formation of clubs. The first o£ these meetings is to be-held at the IV.M.C.A tonight.
Bats will prevent' damage to rafter* and other woodwork by the death-watch and other boring beetles,and grubs..They should be encouraged instead of killed.
